GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART S4 SPRING TASTER WEEK

Posted by G Menzies - 2 months ago

The Glasgow School of Art’s Widening Participation team are now accepting bookings for their S4 Spring Taster Week.

S4 Taster Weeks are the perfect opportunity for eligible S4 pupils to find out if studying a visual creative course is right for them. Pupils will join us on GSA campus to take part in a range of creative activities in one of our studios. A visit to a gallery or museum is built in to every S4 Taster Week to help participants learn more about contemporary art, design and architecture. It’s a great chance for pupils to make new friends from other schools and meet professionals currently working in the creative sector.

The details for the week are as follows:
Date: Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 April 2026
Time: 10am to 3pm daily
Location: GSA Campus + a trip to a gallery
Materials: Provided free of charge

Lunch is not provided. Pupils are expected to bring their own lunch or money to purchase lunch from the shops nearby.
Take a look at their Instagram page for highlights from previous S4 Taster Weeks.

This programme is funded by the Scottish Funding Council and supports senior phase pupils in Scotland from backgrounds of socio-economic disadvantage and underrepresented groups to access Higher Education.

Eligible pupils are those in S4-S6 from state secondary schools across Scotland who meet one or more of following criteria:
live in a priority postcode area (decile 1-4, SIMD 20/40)
are care experienced
are a young carer
are estranged from their parents or legal guardians
